Some recent used books bought
Library was doing a used book sale and what can I say.
The Rumi Collection edited by Kabir Helminski. I've heard great things about Rumi, and I've wanted to read more poetry. The book is compact, which I always love.
Finite and Infinite Games by James Carse. This has been on my list for a while, and sometimes there's books that feel like I should own physically so this was one.
Metamagical Themas by Douglas Hofstadter. I'm like halfway through G.E.B., and that thing is a beast. His idea of a strange loop has shown up in other areas, like in Rob Gray's recent book, and Douglas has a really unique way of seeing the world.
The Oxford History of Western Philosophy by Anthony Kenny. I have read some of Anthony Kenny's other history of western philosophy books, and this one is an illustrated version. Pictures are always great, especially with philosophy.
